Because not only can you borrow around 70,000 specialist books on the various major fields of study or browse through 120 specialist journals, but you can access more than 400,000 e-books. For further research, 52,000 e-journals and subject databases are available, in which students can retrieve scientific information and facts. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. It is possible to participate in the university sports program of the universities of Bremen. The varied sports programme for students is always available online on the web pages of AStA, the General Students' Union. In addition, the Hochschule Bremerhaven offers students the opportunity to acquire a sailing and motorboat license in cooperation with the Weser Yacht Club. Sports: In cooperation with local associations, the university offers participation in events for different sports through the ASTA. These include badminton, fitness, football, handball, karate, kite surfing, athletics, rowing, rugby, shooting, swimming, table tennis, gymnastics, volleyball.
