Writing assignments in a quiet atmosphere, searching databases for new sources of information or reading textbooks without being interrupted: that’s what students can do in the library of the Hochschule Bremerhaven. In addition to approximately 70,000 specialist books and 120 journals, students at the Hochschule Bremerhaven have access to the entire e-media offers of the State and University Library of Bremen. They can thus access approximately 23,000 e-journals, 160,000 e-books and a total of approximately 58 million media items, more than 95% of which are electronic media references with direct access to the full text. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Via the ASTA (student union), the university in cooperation with local clubs offers participation in various sports events. This includes badminton, fitness, football, handball, karate, kite surfing, athletics, rowing, rugby, shooting, swimming, table tennis, gymnastics, volleyball. There is also the opportunity to take part in the university sports programmes of the universities of the state of Bremen. The varied sports programme for students is always available online on the web pages of AStA, the General Students' Union. In addition, the Hochschule Bremerhaven offers students the opportunity to acquire a sailing and motorboat license in cooperation with the Weser Yacht Club. more information
