Mon, Tue, Thu 09:00-17:00, Fri 09:00-15:00. When required, also 09:00-21:00 (application phases). Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
Special features regarding the library
The university library and specialist libraries at the FU Berlin form a cooperative library system with a total of around 10 loan and reference libraries. The print stock encompasses a total of around 8.5 million media and approx. 1.5 million microforms. With the Primo library portal, the Freie Universität offers digital access to around 1,600 databases, 75,000 e-journals and over 600,000 e-books. The Primo Central megaindex enables access to more than 500 million titles of specialist literature available electronically from external providers (including JSTOR, EBSCO, Web of Science). more information
Foreign language courses
There is a foreign language centre. Practical language modules within the scope of language-related Bachelor's and Master's courses of study (including the Master's in Teaching): Arabic, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (including Brazilian Portuguese), Spanish and Turkish. Practical language modules within the scope of general career preparation for the Bachelor's courses: Arabic, Dutch, English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish. 3) Also in German as a Foreign Language: a range of courses at various levels for participants on mobility and exchange programmes, a pre-semester programme for this target group, and the German language test for admission to higher education (DSH). Countless other languages are available in the independent learning centre (including a tandem programme). more information

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees.
