Central library system with three locations, expenditures for media in 2021: around € 573,266.63. University library on the Bielefeld Campus with learning centre and university library Lampingstraße located directly in the vicinity of each respective faculties, open about 73 h / week. Around 440 workstations partly with PC and 3D printer; targeted orient. Training program ranging from the first semester introduction to workshops for the use of specialized information sources as well as further support services for academic study and learning, integrated in courses as necessary; ILIAS learning management system and other e-learning services. more information |
There is no foreign language centre. The foreign language training takes place as part of the degree courses and is integrated into the curricula. Students at universities of applied sciences have guest access to courses at the foreign language centre of the University of Bielefeld. more information |
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The running group for the university of applied sciences is composed of students, staff, instructors and alumni. They train in the summer months, on Tuesdays from 17:00 to 18:15 in Rußheide Stadium, Mühlenstraße 121 in Bielefeld, under the guidance of sports scientists. In the winter, the group relocates to a variety of sports halls within Bielefeld. Some members of the running group also meet privately on Fridays at 14:00 in front of the University of Applied Sciences building on the Bielefeld Bampus where they can enjoy nature while running through the Teuto at a slow pace. Sports: On the Bielefeld Campus, university sports offer an extensive programme of over 60 different types of sports for students at the University of Applied Sciences and the University.
