As an institution for the entire university, the university archive is part of the university library with a volume of more than 8,000 linear meters of documents and outstanding academic papers. PRIMUS, the search engine introduced in 2011, offers an innovative method of accessing knowledge contained in the university library inventory, with 7.8 million search requests per year. The inventory includes 6 million volumes of printed books and magazines as well as digital knowledge resources that can be researched and used down to the article level with 200,000 e-books, 16,000 e-journals and 200 databases and digital objects. more information |

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students can participate in the sports programme of the cooperating universities and universities of applied sciences in Berlin and Brandenburg. Students from all higher education institutions are accepted. The university sports programme of the HU Berlin offers students and employees a broad range of courses. In addition to traditional sports such as football, volleyball or basketball, courses are also offered in trend sports such as Zumba, climbing or kickboxing. The university sports programme meets the steadily increasing demand, mainly for health sports courses, with an extensive range of specific courses. Approx. 17,000 participants take part in over 80 sports and forms of movement every semester. more information |
