Opening hours: Mon-Fri 09:00-22:00, Sat 10:00-14:00 (in the examination periods until 18:00); Self-service machines (RFID technology) for borrowing and returning media; relevant, very up-to-date library stock (approx. 170,000 volumes, 360 journal subscriptions, approx. 55,000 e-books, approx. 19,000 e-journals, 125 databases); Group study rooms (with beamer) and individual cabins available; Training sessions for catalogue and database research and Citavi. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the TU Dresden. The programme is open to: Students of other higher education institutions in Dresden. Volleyball, badminton, football, table tennis, boxing, Tai Chi, rowing, pole fitness, cycling, athletics, basketball, climbing, winter and summer camp in cooperation with the SV Lok HTW: Judo, aikido, teakwondo, basketball, gymnastics, volleyball. more information
