Special features regarding the library
The university library is a central facility of the institute of higher education. The stock comprises approx. 270,000 volumes of print media and approx. 47,000 digital media items including 180 databases. More than 300 print journal subscriptions; full-text access to over 25,000 licensed electronic journals and newspapers. A digital DIN display point complements the electronic media on offer. Approximately 200 user workspaces, some in carrels and group work rooms, provide a comfortable learning and working environment. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the University of Leipzig sports programme. 60 different types of sports, 7 camps per year (mountain biking, climbing, snow sports: Nordic, alpine, Telemark); Eight internal university tournaments per semester in the following sports: volleyball, football, basketball, floorball, table tennis and badminton; 2 projects / year: related to health and in the summer semester the project Marathon, where, as a running team, the university participates in the Leipzig Marathon (about 200 participants); 4 - 5 courses per year as part of the Faculty of Social Work and Event Management of the Faculty of Media. more information
