Special features regarding the library
In addition to approx. 228,000 print media, approx. 60,000 e-books, 30,200 e-journals and 94 specialist databases, the university library offers excellent research options in the "FINC" discovery catalogue. To promote information and media literacy, subject-specific training courses, guided tours and lectures are offered. The HSB offers optimal learning and working conditions, as well as generous opening times. The HSB supports and advices open access publishing on LIBDOC, among other things. A diverse range of library series in the Studium Generale rounds off the HSB portfolio. more information
Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, technical languages for technology, business and design. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Students may also enrol in courses at other institutions of higher education in Saxony . Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. We have since also begun offering online and health courses.
