The university has a central library at the Kiel location and a departmental library for agriculture at the Osterrönfeld location. The central library provides the literary supply for Campus Kiel with a focus on mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, precision engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, business administration, social pedagogy, multimedia and physiotherapy. Its inventory comprises around 114,000 printed media, 200 current magazine subscriptions, 12,000 e-journals and 123,000 e-books. There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Arabic, Danish, Norwegian. more information |
The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel through a fee-based administration agreement between the higher education institutions on the terms for the university students. Participation is subject to fees. The sports programme is generally also open to students of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel and Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. The sports program at University of Applied Sciences Kiel is organized by the sports department of AStA. Tasks are undertaken in a sports office established for this purpose. All sports activities of the campus on the east bank are coordinated here.
