Special features regarding the library
The university has a central library in Kiel and a departmental library for agriculture at the Osterrönfeld site. The central library provides the literary supply for Campus Kiel with a focus on mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, precision engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, business administration, social pedagogy, multimedia and physiotherapy. Its inventory includes approximately 130,000 media and 200 ongoing magazine subscriptions, as well as an increasing number of electronic resources. It is open from Mon.-Thur. 09:00-19:00 and Fri. 09:00-18:00. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel through a fee-based administration agreement between the higher education institutions on the terms for the university students. The sports programme is generally also open to students of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel and Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. The sports program at University of Applied Sciences Kiel is organized by the sports department of AStA. Tasks are undertaken in a sports office established for this purpose. All sports activities of the campus on the east bank are coordinated here. A budget is available to cover the cost of preparation of the course programme, hall hire and the instructor fees. more information
