The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is free of charge. Students attending the institution can also participate in the sports programme of the higher education institutions in Thuringia. Sport at the Hochschule Schmalkalden should primarily serve as active recreation and provide a balance to academic and professional life. The range of sports is consequently oriented towards popular sports so as to meet the interests of as many students and staff as possible. The HSM university sports programme offers all students and staff a varied selection of around 25 sporting activities. Due to limits in capacity, the number of participants is limited for some courses. Training is usually run by qualified course instructors. more information |
