Special features regarding the library
Whether you are carrying out a particular assignment or just doing some learning or revision, the library offers a wealth of media to choose from and provides a peaceful working environment. In addition to books, access is also provided to newspapers, specialist journals and databases (standard national licences of the German Research Foundation (DFG), Statista). In addition, we offer the Citavi literature management programme, an online catalogue and – in addition to e-books – reference works and dictionaries. The employees provide advice to assist with searches and are well-acquainted with the partner libraries. In addition, students can make use of the library of HU & TU Berlin. more information
Foreign language courses
There is a foreign language centre. The SRH Hochschule Berlin attaches high value to teaching of foreign languages. The Language Centre is the point of contact for all language-related matters and is responsible for the practical language training as part of Bachelor's degree courses. Our students receive university-specific foreign language training at different levels. Depending on the course and native language, our students take English, Spanish or German as a foreign language. In our courses, linguistic aspects are generally taught to prepare students adequately for visits abroad. We also integrate aspects of business and technical communication at higher levels as well as application training into instruction. Our courses are oriented around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The Language Centre conducts placement tests and officially recognised examinations (TOEIC and WiDaF), issues certificates (language course certificates and DAAD letters of recommendation), offers a tandem service and extra-curricular language courses for Master's degree students and advises students on suitable extra-curricular courses and learning strategies. more information
Special features regarding university sports
Students benefit from a diverse range of sports on offer at Berlin's universities. In addition, there are many internal university activities and competitions on offer such as a football cup, relay race, sailing and water sports and the all-year-round chess tournament. Students receive preferential conditions for training thanks to cooperation with two well-known fitness chains. more information
