Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Offered languages: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Turkish, Arabic, Danish, German as a second language, German Sign Language, Estonian, Finnish, Korean, Kurdish, Dutch, Norwegian, Vietnamese. Polish, Russian and Turkish are offered as foreign languages and languages of origin. Writing consultations and intercultural courses with different focuses are also offered. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of other Hessian higher education institutions. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The program is open to: all, as guests of the USZ with a corresponding fee. Gym Unifit; Cooperation with the DAV: climbing hall on university premises, preferential conditions for students; cooperation with Darmstadt climbing park: Climbing forest on the TU site, special conditions for students; listed university stadium with its own outdoor pool; artificial grass pitch; test and taste offers for international students.
