There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Turkish, Arabic, Danish, German as a second language, German Sign Language, Finnish, Korean, Kurdish, Dutch, Norwegian, Vietnamese, plus writing advice and intercultural training. The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of other Hessian higher education institutions. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. DAV climbing hall and climbing forest Darmstadt are located on the TU grounds (cooperation arrangements and special terms for students), fitness studio (Unifit), disc golf course, the listed university stadium with outdoor swimming pool, artificial-turf pitch, athletics and elliptical-training facilities, beach volleyball and basketball courts. Test-and-taste offers for international students, excursions, activity bike, exercise breaks for courses, student health management. Sports: We offer you a diverse sports programme emphasising fun and variety: From acrobatics to hurling, from mountain biking to Quidditch to horseback riding or Zumba.
