Locations: The J. C. Senckenberg University Library consists of the main library and 6 departmental libraries.; Stock: Around 10 million media items; Services: It ranks among the leading academic library locations in Germany. In addition to printed works, students at Goethe University can also use numerous licensed electronic resources via the Internet, including resources from beyond the campus. There are nearly 4,000 workstations available for studying. In addition, there are guidance and training offers on digital humanities, open-access publishing, research data management and literature management. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. If the host university permits, students may also take part in the sports programmes of all the public institutions of higher education and universities of applied sciences in the German state of Hesse. There are cooperation arrangements with some universities. These cooperations permit assimilation of status. Participation is subject to fees. University sports at Goethe University feature a wide range of disciplines reflective of the various motivations for pursuing sports, encouraging introduction to engaging in sports. The University Sports Centre provides a space for exercise and encounters and promotes social interaction. In addition to the large number of courses – which include both classics such as football and workout courses as well as ‘exotic’ courses such as ballet or K-Pop – the programme is rounded out by a series of special events (Goethe-Lauf, Summer Challenge, etc.). There should be something for everyone here. Sports: Approx. 100 types of sport in different areas: Team sports, among other things; Martial arts; Dance; Health sports; Racquet sports; Relaxation, etc. more information
