Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Students may also take part in the sports programmes of all the public higher education institutions and universities of applied sciences in the federal state of Hesse if the organising university allows it. Some universities have cooperations. These allow participation under identical conditions as students of their own university. Participation is subject to fees. The Goethe University's sports department offers a wide range of sports activities that reflect the various motives for doing sports and provide a low-threshold introduction to sports. The Centre for University Sports creates spaces for movement and encounter and promotes social interaction. In addition to the large number of courses, which include classics such as football and workout classes as well as "exotics" such as ballet or K-Pop, the program is completed by a number of special events (Goethe Run, Summer Challenge, etc.). There should be something for everyone here. more information
