Special features regarding the library
The University of Applied Management Studies HdWM has a reference and lending library with a large stock of specialist and in-depth literature along with access to numerous online resources. In addition to textbooks, compulsory readings, journals and theses are available as well. The stock is constantly expanded and existing online databases further developed. Thanks to its numerous workstations, two quiet areas and modern computer equipment, the library spaces offer a perfect atmosphere in which to prepare for an examination. Copying, scanning and printing options are also available in the library. more information
Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, Arabic, Dutch, Modern Greek, Norwegian.
Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. The University of Health Sciences, Bochum, cooperates with the neighbouring Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) within the scope of university sports. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The "University Sport Bochum" offers university health students a range of sports activities that include courses and sports groups in around 95 sports as well as the university-owned UNIFIT gym of the Ruhr University Bochum.
