Special features regarding the library
Greifswald University Library is the central place of learning and study for the University’s students and researchers. In addition to 2.5 million printed books, it also offers an increasing number of electronic resources. All four locations are located centrally and close to the respective departments and thus offer short journeys to the literature. The central university library and the departmental library are open daily until midnight and offer a large number of work stations. The RFID booking allows the lending and return of media throughout the opening hours. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students of the University of Greifswald can use the sports programs of other universities, if the other universities approve. Students have the opportunity to use the university sports program of the University of Greifswald. Over 70 sports are offered in the fields of fitness, sports games, health sports and martial arts. The outstanding natural location beside the Bay of Greifswald, on the river Ryck and on the Danish Wieck enable access to further water sports. Water sport is a special feature of the Greifswald university sports programme. Students can register for courses in dinghy sailing, windsurfing, rowing and canoeing. The fitness and health area also offers a comprehensive course program. more information
