The university offers its own sports programme. Heidelberg University students can take part in the sports program at the University of Mannheim and the University of Teacher Education in Heidelberg. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. We want to get as many students and staff as possible exercising and inspire them with the diversity of sport. Health, exercise, motor learning and common social interaction are our central themes. In the heiMOVE project, we are developing the ‘university sport of tomorrow with innovative offers for all members of the university community (including audio coach, podcasts, personal training, camps and events). The program is open to students of Heidelberg University of Education and the University of Mannheim.
