Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The university sports centre of the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt offers a university sports program for both Eichstätt and Ingolstadt. The Ingolstadt location has a close cooperation with a joint program with the University of Applied Sciences (TH Ingolstadt). In principle, students from other universities and colleges are allowed to participate in these programs. The same applies to eligibility for students of KU at the university sports program of other Bavarian universities. Considering the high proportion of female students at the KU, the university sports programme focuses on: health and fitness, gymnastics and dance, agility and relaxation. In addition, the full range of standard university sports – from sport games to martial arts – is also offered. A spacious fitness studio is available to students for around 60 hours/week. "Premium" courses (training in small groups and personal training from highly specialised staff) also incorporate a Sports Science diagnostics lab (e.g. spiroergometry). more information
