Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. DIT attaches great importance to a varied programme of university sports. University sport is open to all students and staff of the university and consists primarily of popular sports. But performance-oriented participants have the opportunity to join a university team or compete as a single athlete at university championships. The university has had many successes in this regard, such as the German University Cup championship in football.
