Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the Ostfalia Wolfenbüttel sports programme. In addition, the HVNB’s aim is for all students of the universities in Lower Saxony to be entitled to participate in the sports programmes of all study locations within Lower Saxony. The programme is open to: Students of the higher education institutions in Braunschweig (incl. Ostfalia Wolfenbüttel). As the central facility, the sports centre is a communication, cultural, health and exercise centre. It also offers opportunities to "familiarise" oneself with unknown forms of exercise, which aim to assist users in finding personally optimised exercise activities to harmonise their daily life at university. Like the BGF (workplace health promotion), the sports centre has been offering a student health promotion project since 10/2017. more information
