Special features regarding the library
The RheinMain University and State Library is the university library for the Hochschule RheinMain (with four sites in Wiesbaden and one in Rüsselsheim) and the academic universal library for the city and region of Wiesbaden. In addition to print media, it also provides users with extensive digital media (electronic journals and databases, e-books). To support its users with their academic work, guided tours and introductions to literature searches and administration are offered. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Participation possible at: Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Hessian University of Applied Sciences (also known as Hessische Hochschule für Polizei und Verwaltung). The program is open for all students of Hessian universities, according to the ruling of the Hessian State Conference of the University Sports Facilities; Students of the University of Mainz. Joint university sports program in cooperation with the Hessian University of Applied Sciences since 2015. In cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences (HfPV) 2018 German University Championships (jiu-jitsu, Women’s football Kleinfeld, Golf, German University Cup (mixed volleyball) and the network meeting "Health Promotion" for the General German University Sports Association. Participation in the project "Bewegt studieren, studieren bewegt" (Moving studying, studying moves) with the "Studi-Pausenexpress", which has been taking place in all faculties and locations in 40 lectures since the summer semester of 2018. more information
