Special features regarding the library
Reference library with short-term loans; opening times from Monday to Saturday until the evenings. Available print and online media types: Monographs, magazines, essays, newspapers, theses, audio books, DVDs. Access to 12 databases and 14,134 e-journals. Access to e-books and e-journals outside of opening hours from home. 10 stationary PCs partially equipped with MaxQDA, R Studio and SPSS. Quiet zone workstations and five associated group work rooms.

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, German as a foreign language.
Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. Students can use the offers of the University Sports Cologne. In addition to sports courses in fitness, endurance, ball, health, dance sports, martial arts and water sports, sports trips, events and competitions are also offered.
