Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the university sports programme in Cologne, to which the Gummersbach and Leverkusen campuses also belong. The sports programme is usually arranged by students for students. In addition, an interuniversity camp is organised in Spain (organised from Cologne), which is also open to students of other universities. The Cologne university sports programme, which also includes the Gummersbach campus, has at its foundation a cooperation of 13 universities in the region of Cologne.
