Special features regarding the library
The university library comprises over 110,000 volumes and approx. 560 subscriptions for journals. Mainly specialist literature for the degree courses offered at the HS Ostwestfalen-Lippe is available here. The stock is arranged in rooms according to the specialist subjects in Lemgo, Detmold, Höxter and Warburg. Moreover, we offer access to many online and CD-ROM databases via the digital library. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is free of charge. Detmold students' union organises a free, active leisure programme with a daily sports programme and regular trips, e.g. hikes and cycling tours. Moreover, we offer special rates for golf, the fitness studio and squash. The current sports programme includes: badminton, basketball, football, university hockey, volleyball, Capoeira. Students also enjoy favourable rates in fitness studios. Students can also take part in the sports program of the campus of the OWL university in Lemgo. more information
