Special features regarding the library
The library considers itself a central location for information and communication and can be used free of charge. 107 workstations, of which 23 are computer workstations, as well as 7 carrels (work booths) and 1 group work room offer ideal conditions. The library is equipped with WiFi, photocopying facilities, scanners, interactive whiteboard and video conference technology. Over 300,000 media in total (including around 100,000 e-books) are available. Access is available through licensing agreements to over 400 million full texts. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution our students sports programme of all higher education institutions in Saxony and beyond. Our programme is open to all students, regardless of which higher education institution they belong to. The university sports centre offers over 40 different types of sports. The 40 sports result in over 90 courses, which are led by approx. 40 course instructors. In addition to the weekly sports program, we offer a winter camp, a climbing camp, a wakeboard camp and a kitesurf camp for beginners and advanced surfers every year. Various internal / external competitions are also organised. The Sports Centre is also responsible for organising the Saxony University Basketball Championship. more information
