Opening times central course guidance
08:00-18:00. An appointment is recommended, this way, the best possible support can be provided for questions related to academic studies, career planning and financing. Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
Special features regarding the library
The library stock covers all the literature necessary for the degree courses and the specialist areas of study. In addition, the facilities offered by the university library at Mainz can also be used free of charge by EMS students. The students receive library introductions at the start of the semester and on request further research training is offered in databases within the curriculum. In addition to the online catalogue, our electronic resources (WISO, EBSCO, EconBiz, Statista etc.) can also be accessed via the library homepage. more information
Foreign language courses
There is no foreign language centre. Depending on the options selected by students, language courses integrated in the curriculum are offered - possibly also at different levels - e.g. in Spanish, French, Portuguese or Italian. In addition, the EMS offers extra-curricular (free) language courses that can be selected each semester.
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The Students Organisation of the EMS regularly organises events, such as football tournaments, which are also open to other higher education institutions. The EMS is part of the General University Sports Programme (AHS) of the University of Mainz, which means that EMS students have use of the full programme on offer there. Programmes and initiatives offered by the Students Organisation of the EMS, such as participation by an EMS team in the Gutenberg Marathon in Mainz. Very broad range of activities through participation in the University of Mainz sports programme at different facilities in over 60 types of sport. The EMS building also has a modern and affordable fitness studio offering a variety of courses and equipment. more information
