The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Some 90 sporting disciplines, such as badminton, baseball, basketball, bridge, football, golf, handball, hockey, wheelchair basketball, tennis, volleyball, climbing, fitness/sport for health (yoga, pilates, aerobics, aqua power), endurance/strength training, martial arts (aikido, boxing, fencing, karate, self-defence, taekwondo), dance (ballet, capoeira, hip hop, wheelchair dance, salsa, standard/Latin, zumba), leisure sports (acrobatics, juggling/unicycle, parkour), gymnastics, track and field, water sports (canoeing, rowing, sailing, swimming, diving, underwater hockey), Alpine skiing, freeriding, snowboarding, ice hockey, riding. The programme is open to: Students of all higher education institutions in Munich. 90 sporting disciplines from A for aerobics to Y for yoga. In addition to the superb, extensive and extremely varied sports programme, performance-oriented students can participate in the central university sport competition programme, from the German University Championships to the student European and World championships, including the World Student Games, the world's second largest sports event after the Olympic Games. more information
