Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. All students and employees of Munich's state universities can take part in the Munich university sports. In addition, various non-state universities, institutions and groups have been granted eligibility. Around 90 sports, including badminton, baseball, basketball, bridge, football, golf, handball, hockey, wheelchair basketball, tennis, volleyball, climbing, fitness / health sports (yoga, Pilates, aerobics, aquapower), physical fitness, martial arts ( aikido, boxing, fencing, karate, self-defence, tae kwon do), dance (ballet, capoeira, hip hop, wheelchair dance, salsa, standard / latin, Zumba), recreational sports (acrobatics, juggling / unicycle, parkour), gymnastics & athletics, water sports (canoeing, rowing, sailing, swimming, diving, underwater hockey), alpine skiing, free ride, snowboarding, ice hockey, horse riding.
