Special features regarding the library
Locations: Central reference library for all departments on the ground floor on Alte Rabenstraße.; Stock: Available print and online media types Access to 12 databases and more than 14,134 E-Journals. Access to e-books and e-journals outside of opening hours from home.; Services: Interdisciplinary reference library with short-term loans; Opening hours from Monday to Friday until the evening hours. Some of the stationary PCs are equipped with MaxQDA, R Studio and SPSS.; Reading room and numerous quiet workstations in the library and group work rooms next to the library. Cooperation with the Universität Hamburg test library.
Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese. Hebrew and sector-specific language courses are offered as well. The optional language offers are currently available to students from all locations.
Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. In Hamburg the university sports programme is a joint service of all the state and state-recognised higher education institutions. All sports offers are available to students at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. In addition to the more than 200 sports courses in more than 80 fitness, endurance, ball, health, dance and martial arts, sports trips, events and competitions are also offered. In some universities in Hamburg there are also fitness studios that can be used by students. In addition, in-expensive sports trips such as hang gliding or skiing are organised each year. more information
