Special features regarding the library
Reference library with short-term loans; opening times from Monday to Friday until the evenings. Available print and online media types: Monographs, magazines, essays, newspapers, theses, audio books and DVDs. Access to 12 databases and 14,134 e-journals. Access to e-books and e-journals outside of opening hours from home. Available stationary PCs partially equipped with MaxQDA, R Studio and SPSS; cooperation with the test library of the University of Hamburg; numerous quite zone workstations in the library and group work rooms next to the library.
Foreign language courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, German as a foreign language.
Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. In Hamburg the university sports programme is a joint service of all the state and state-recognised higher education institutions. All sports offers are available to students at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. In addition to the more than 200 sports courses in more than 80 fitness, endurance, ball, health, dance and martial arts, sports trips, events and competitions are also offered. In some universities in Hamburg there are also fitness studios that can be used by students. In addition, in-expensive sports trips such as hang gliding or skiing are organised each year.
