Special features regarding the library
Cooperation with the Stadtbibliothek Gütersloh GmbH (Gütersloh city library), loan of books from the stock in the university library as well as media reference stock of relevant study titles in the rooms specifically hired in the city library for the FH Bielefeld. The library sites in Bielefeld and Minden can also be used. more information
Foreign language center and courses
There is no foreign language centre. Training in foreign languages takes place as part of the degree courses and is integrated into the curricula. Students at universities of applied sciences have guest access to courses at the foreign language centre of the University of Bielefeld. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The running group for the university of applied sciences is composed of students, staff, instructors and alumni. They train in the summer months, on Tuesdays from 17:00 to 18:15 in Rußheide Stadium, Mühlenstraße 121 in Bielefeld, under the guidance of sports scientists. In the winter, the group relocates to a variety of sports halls within Bielefeld. Some members of the running group also meet privately on Fridays at 14:00 in front of the University of Applied Sciences building on the Bielefeld Bampus where they can enjoy nature while running through the Teuto at a slow pace. Sports: On the Bielefeld Campus, university sports offer an extensive programme of over 60 different types of sports for students at the University of Applied Sciences and the University. Many of the offers are free of charge to students. more information
