Special features regarding the library
In addition to a selection of specialist literature in print, you will find further digital offers in our library at all locations, such as electronic books (E-Books) and electronic journals (E-Journals). Specialist databases can be used to conduct research in a wide variety of topics. We can acquire any literature not on hand locally via interlibrary loan. The library is also available to serve as a place of learning. We can demonstrate and provide your publications on our university-thesis server.
Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Dutch. Students may a) participate in the foreign-language programme of our foreign partner universities and b) as part of the ‘preliminary courses in English’ – some of which are offered online in September before winter semester begins – we cooperate with the language school Antipolis, which offers company-specific foreign-language training. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is free of charge. The sports programme at the Höxter site is offered by students for students. The sports programme includes the following sports, for example: basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, rugby, handball. The latest information is always displayed on the "AStA-Sportbrett" (student union notice board) in the entrance area to the cafeteria. In addition, students can participate in sports activities at the Detmold and Lemgo campus. more information
