Special features regarding the library
The university library (UB) has a single-layer organisation and offers over 360 learning and workstations. It has a literature archive and a university publisher. Spending on eResources has more than doubled in the past five years. There is high demand for information skills to be taught. The research-related services include, among other things, the possibility of open access publishing (HilDok document server and publication fund) as well as advice on questions related to research data management. Lectures, readings and exhibitions take place regularly at the university library. more information

Special features regarding university sports
Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts. All courses are offered centrally on the campus, except water sports (e.g. canoeing). Through its cooperation with the German Alpine Association, the university additionally owns an alpine and competition-approved climbing wall. more information
