Opening times central course guidance
Tue 11:00 - 13:00, Tue 15:00 - 17:00 and Thu 15:00 - 17.00. Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
Special features regarding the library
The university library is organised on a single level and has approximately 340 work and reading spaces in the open-access areas, the reading room, group work rooms and media centre. The range of electronic resources increased in the last five years by more than 40%. With the document server HilDok, the possibility of simple electronic open-access publication is available to members of the university. There is high demand for information skills to be taught by the university library. Readings, a lecture series and exhibitions are held regularly in the University Library (UB). more information
Foreign language courses
There is no foreign language centre. The following programmes are offered within the scope of the Hildesheim language forum (cooperation with the VHS Hildesheim and the HAWK): Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Sign Language, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish. more information
Special features regarding university sports
Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts. All courses are offered centrally on the campus, except water sports (e.g. canoeing). Through its cooperation with the German Alpine Association, the university additionally owns an alpine and competition-approved climbing wall. more information
